Category Manager – Perfumes – Abu Issa Marketing & Distribution (AIMD)

We’re looking for a commercially driven Category Manager – Perfumes to lead the growth and profitability of our fragrance portfolio. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands the perfume consumer, thrives on numbers and negotiations, and knows how to turn market insights into winning category strategies.

What You’ll Own

  • Drive the business: Own category budgets, revenue, margins, and profitability, translating business goals into sustainable growth.
  • Shape the portfolio: Develop long-term category strategies, identify new brands and products, and build plans for successful launches and exits.
  • Master the numbers: Use EPOS, market, and consumer data to uncover trends, forecast demand, optimize inventory, and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Lead supplier partnerships: Negotiate pricing, A&P investments, promotions, contracts, service levels, and trading terms to maximize value.
  • Create winning launches: Develop go-to-market strategies and promotional plans that build visibility, trial, and sales.
  • Elevate the retail experience: Partner with Sales and visit stores to strengthen execution, visibility, planograms, and category standards.
  • Build the future: Work with existing and new suppliers to expand the portfolio and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Lead people: Coach and develop team members, driving accountability, performance, and growth.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in Category Management, preferably within perfumes, beauty, luxury, or FMCG.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of sales, margins, profitability, and growth drivers.
  • Excellent knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, influencing, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
