About the Position

POSITION PURPOSE:

To analyze and report on financial performance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support business decisions with accurate financial data. Play a vital role in treasury functions.

DUTIES AND RESONPONSIBILITIES:

 

Day to Day Treasury Functions

  1. Daily Fund Position Management: Oversees the aggregation and analysis of daily fund positions across all subsidiaries to ensure optimal liquidity management within the conglomerate.
  2. Group Forecasting: Synthesizes and aggregates cash flow forecasts for the entire conglomerate to monitor compliance with financial covenants and maintain awareness of available credit facilities.
  3. Forecast Reporting: Coordinates the compilation and submission of comprehensive forecast reports to facilitate strategic financial planning and decision-making regarding the utilization of credit limits.
  4. Intercompany Financing Coordination: Strategizes and implements intercompany funding arrangements to optimize capital allocation and financial synergy among subsidiaries.
  5. Financial Risk Alerting: Proactively identifies and communicates potential liquidity shortfalls or financial irregularities to executive management, recommending preemptive strategies to mitigate risks.
  6. Bank Facility Management: handles the lifecycle of banking facilities, including monitoring expiry dates and coordinating renewals, to ensure uninterrupted access to financial instruments.
  7. Documentation and Compliance: Maintains and updates a repository of essential documentation for bank facility renewals and conducts periodic reviews to ensure compliance with banking requirements.
  8. Banking Liaison: Acts as the primary contact with banking institutions for matters related to facility renewals, fee negotiations, financing arrangements, loan restructuring, and overall financial standing.
  9. Credit Monitoring: Regularly reviews the company’s credit bureau reports to ensure accuracy and the maintenance of a favorable credit profile.
  10. Capital Flow and Investment Planning: Monitors capital flows and evaluates investment opportunities to align with the conglomerate’s strategic objectives and maximize returns.
  11. Salary Processing – Liaising to secure Group Salary should be arranged and processed by the department.
  12. Partner Account – Update and maintain shareholder ledgers.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management accounts from time to time.
  • Assist in preparing and consolidating the financial forecast/ budgets for various verticals of business.
  • Analyze and substantiate the reasons.

Cost & Inventory Management

  • Monitor overhead structure including rent, manpower, utilities, and logistics and report any outliners or material changes.
  • Conduct variance analysis on COGS and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for retail divisions.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Semi or Fully qualified
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting, and exposed to banking relationship preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • ERP proficiency (Oracle or equivalent)
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Presentation Skills
  • Excellent in English communication.
