Job Summary
The Social Media Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of social media activities across key digital platforms. The role focuses on creating engaging content, managing online communities, assisting with campaign implementation, and monitoring performance metrics to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and overall digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Assist in the planning and execution of social media strategies across key platforms, ensuring content aligns with brand objectives and campaign goals.
- Support the implementation of integrated digital campaigns in alignment with brand guidelines.
Content Creation & Management
- Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content including copy, visuals, and short-form videos across social media platforms.
- Ensure consistency in brand tone, messaging, and visual identity across all digital channels.
Community Management
- Monitor and manage day-to-day engagement on social media platforms.
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and brand-appropriate manner to maintain positive audience interaction.
Campaign Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams, designers, and external partners to support campaign rollouts and content initiatives.
- Assist in executing collaborations, partnerships, and influencer initiatives to expand brand reach.
Paid Social Media Support
- Support the setup, management, and optimization of paid social media campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are aligned with marketing objectives and budgets.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics including engagement, reach, conversions, and campaign performance.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness and campaign outcomes.
Trend Monitoring & Innovation
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, tools, and emerging digital opportunities.
- Identify innovative approaches to enhance brand presence and audience engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Experience managing multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of social media advertising and analytics tools.
- Experience with content scheduling tools and social media management platforms is preferred.
