Job Description

DUTIES AND RESONPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture by promoting open communication, mutual respect, and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, performance targets, and any challenges or opportunities within the section.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Product Knowledge Training:

  • Educate sales associates on the features, benefits, brand values, stories, and product lines and unique selling points of products available in the store.
  • Conduct workshops or role-playing exercises to train sales associates on effective sales techniques, such as active listening, upselling, and cross-selling.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure effective product merchandising, stock management, and pricing strategies to optimize sales and margins.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities, events, and campaigns specific to the section.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the section, ensuring exceptional customer service standards are upheld at all times.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively, maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Merchandising and Inventory Management:

  • Ensure effective merchandising of products, including displays, signage, and promotions, to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with inventory management to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and maintain accurate inventory records.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards within the section.
  • Collaborate with other department managers and store management to optimize overall store operations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / SUCCESS MEASURES

  • Total sales revenue: Monitor the overall revenue generated by the section on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Sales growth: Track the percentage increase in sales compared to previous periods to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Conversion rate: Calculate the percentage of store visitors who make a purchase to assess sales efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Customer feedback scores: Gather and analyze customer feedback through surveys, reviews, and ratings to measure satisfaction levels with the section’s products and services.
  • Customer retention rate: Track the percentage of repeat customers within the section to assess loyalty and satisfaction levels.
  • Shrinkage rate: Measure the percentage of inventory loss due to theft, damage, or administrative errors to implement measures for loss prevention and control.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the furniture or home furnishings industry.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
