- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Technical certification or degree in appliance repair, electrical engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a home appliance technician, service technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of home appliance systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing various household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc.)
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy appliances or equipment, as needed.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of home appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ovens. You will provide excellent customer service, ensure timely and efficient repairs, and contribute to the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality service.
DUTIES AND RESONPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Accountabilities:
- Diagnose Appliance Issues:
- Inspect and diagnose issues with home appliances, including electrical, mechanical, and functional problems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of appliance malfunctions.
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform repairs on various household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers, dryers, and other kitchen or home appliances.
- Replace or repair defective parts, including motors, compressors, belts, and electrical components.
- Test appliances after repair to ensure they function properly and meet safety standards.

Customer Service:
- Interact directly with customers to discuss the problem and explain the necessary repairs.
- Provide clear instructions to customers on appliance maintenance and usage to prevent future breakdowns.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service in a timely manner.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on appliances to prevent potential breakdowns or issues.
- Provide customers with advice on proper appliance care and maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of their appliances.
Parts and Inventory Management:
- Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and equipment required for appliance repair.
- Order replacement parts as necessary and ensure all materials are used efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete detailed service reports, including diagnosis, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Ensure all work orders are signed off by customers, and appropriate paperwork is submitted to the company in a timely manner.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when handling electrical appliances and hazardous materials.
- Ensure that all repairs comply with local regulations and safety standards.
Work Scheduling:
- Manage time efficiently to complete multiple service calls within a scheduled workday.
- Be punctual and communicate any delays or changes to the customer ahead of time.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / SUCCESS MEASURES
- Sales Target Achievement: Achieve 100% of monthly/quarterly/annual sales target or exceed it by a set percentage (e.g., 10% above target).

- Team Sales Performance : Increase team sales by X% over a specific period (monthly/quarterly)
- Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) : Maintain a customer satisfaction score of X% or higher based on surveys or customer feedback.
- Conversion Rate : Achieve a conversion rate of X% or higher, which refers to the percentage of store visitors who make a purchase.
- Training & Development : Ensure 100% of sales associates complete mandatory product or sales training within a set time frame.
- Inventory Management & Stock Accuracy: Maintain 98% inventory accuracy and ensure products are stocked appropriately to meet customer demand.
- Complaint Resolution Time : Resolve X% of customer complaints within 24-48 hours.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Work standard hours follow retail/showroom operational hours with one day off in a week.  You may work in shifts including weekends and evenings.  You may have to allot work hours to collect sales data and complete sales reports.
You would spend a lot of time on your feet and from time to time may need to lift or carry items of stock.  Wearing a uniform is necessary.
