DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the fragrance industry.
- Proven track record of managing a sales team and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in the perfume industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Overseeing the operations, sales, marketing, and distribution of the perfume product line. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and effective collaboration with various departments to drive the division’s growth and profitability.
DUTIES AND RESONPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Accountabilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve division objectives and sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making.
Sales and Marketing:
- Lead the sales and marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and sales strategies.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing plans, including advertising, PR, and digital marketing.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and guide product innovation.
- Oversee the launch of new products and ensure they meet market needs and company standards.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the division’s budget, including sales forecasts and financial reporting.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or customer satisfaction.
- Analyze financial data to make informed business decisions and ensure profitability.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Implement and maintain high standards for quality control and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage inventory levels, supply chain logistics, and quality control processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on sales, market conditions, and operational performance for senior management.
- Use data analytics to drive business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / SUCCESS MEASURES
Sales Growth Rate: Percentage increase in sales over a specific period.
Market Share: Increase market share by X% annually.
Gross Profit Margin: Calculate the difference between sales revenue and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Net Profit Margin: Net income as a percentage of total revenue.
Return on Investment (ROI): profitability of investments made in new products, marketing campaigns, etc.
Number of New Product Launches: number of new perfumes launched within a year / Measure the time taken to develop and launch new products.
Customer Satisfaction Score: customer satisfaction through surveys and feedback
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
Work standard hours follow retail/showroom operational or corporate business hours with two days off in a week. Time would be divided among retail floor, showroom office area, stock room and logistics area.
