About the Position
This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and experience working in a retail environment.
DUTIES AND RESONPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Accountabilities:
Supply Chain Operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day supply chain activities to ensure smooth product flow from suppliers to stores.
- Monitor and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
- Ensure all supply chain processes align with company objectives and local regulations in Qatar.
Material Management
- Ensure accurate handling and record-keeping of all invoices related to all associated companies.
- Regularly review and update pricing changes in coordination with procurement and finance teams.
- Manage all types of purchase returns through the EBS system, including supplier claims, supplier returns, insurance claims, and returns due to short or damaged items.
- Coordinate with accounts and procurement teams for timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Monitor and manage all Purchase Orders (POs) and landed cost management.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement protocols.
- Ensure regular updates to price configurations in the system across all companies.
- Process and manage various stock adjustments through the EBS, including normal adjustments, discrepancy updates, write-offs via WMS, damage-related adjustments, and Store Issue Vouchers (SIV).
- Coordinate with pricing and finance teams to validate entries.
- Manage all store issue vouchers and store return transactions through EBS. Ensure that approvals are obtained as required.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate with local and international suppliers for timely procurement and order fulfillment.
- Track purchase orders, follow up on delivery timelines, and resolve any delays or issues.
- Support negotiations with vendors regarding terms, lead times, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply chain performance.
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare and maintain reports on supply chain KPIs including order accuracy, delivery timelines, and inventory turnover.
- Work with ERP or inventory management systems to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
- Recommend improvements to processes and systems for enhanced visibility and control.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably within retail or FMCG sectors.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, material management, and procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo), and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially EBS, WMS.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Familiarity with Qatar’s local regulations and import/export procedures is preferred.
