October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign where thousands of organizations and charities highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness, education, and research.
At AbuIssa Holding, we continue to strive towards excellence by providing a healthy and safe environment for our employees. In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility, employees have been raising awareness about the importance of the early detection of breast cancer. The Human Assets & Admin department launched the pink ribbon campaign by wearing pink ribbons to work on October 3rd, 2019. The team’s intention is to raise awareness and educate female employees about the cause, in honor of many women who are battling breast cancer.
In addition, the department took initiative in organizing an awareness session in collaboration with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS). The presentation took place on October 7th, 2019 at AbuIssa Holding’s head office. Qatar Cancer Society’s health expert focused on the causes of breast cancer and prevention tips to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.
