About the Position

Job Purpose

The Ducted Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ducted air conditioning systems across commercial, retail, and service facilities. The role ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair ducted split AC systems, package units, and centralized HVAC systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted operation.

  • Diagnose faults related to airflow, temperature control, compressors, motors, thermostats, sensors, and ducting.

  • Inspect and repair air ducts, diffusers, dampers, grills, insulation, and flexible ducts.

  • Perform gas charging, leak detection, vacuuming, and pressure testing.

  • Replace defective components such as compressors, capacitors, contactors, fan motors, belts, and filters.

  • Ensure proper air balance and cooling efficiency in all assigned locations.

  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency maintenance issues.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, job cards, and service reports.

  • Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.

  • Coordinate with supervisors, facility managers, and external vendors when required.

  • Support maintenance activities during store openings, renovations, and shutdowns.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Ducted AC Technician in commercial or retail facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of ducted AC systems, centralized HVAC, and ventilation systems.

  • Ability to read basic technical drawings and HVAC layouts.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment.

  • Knowledge of Qatar safety standards and maintenance practices preferred.

  • Physically fit and able to work at heights, in ceilings, and confined spaces.

  • Good communication skills; basic English required (Arabic is an advantage).
